As 2006 comes to an end
The few weeks leading up to Christmas have been interesting. First off I entered another indoor competition at a new club called Arrowheads. They are a school based club in Barnet. Being a new club there were not a huge number of entries, but out of the 29 that were in my division I managed a respectable score of 513 which gave me 13th place – not anywhere near my recent personal best and slightly disappointing as I was hoping for a top ten placing. It was a well organised event and I liked the idea of pairing up the school kids with more experienced archers. It’s good to think that (although not quite at my one year archery anniversary) I can train, compete and give something back to the sport already.
You may have heard of a website called Crazy Goals. I have registered my 2012 Olympic Archery goal there (see this link). As such I have been approached by a filmmaker with their own goal on the site. So I met up with Jess a couple of Saturdays ago and took part in some archery filming. The footage is in production at the moment but I’ll post a link to it on my blog when it’s ready.
In the meantime I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. Here’s looking forward to a great year of archery in 2007!

Nick - I think your 2012 countdown timer is wrong? They're saying on the news today that it's 2012 days to go, but your timer says 2011?
